"Maundy" comes from the Latin word "mandatum" meaning "commandment," referring to Jesus' admonition at the Last Supper for his disciples to love one another.
Join us for this special worship service filled with musical offerings to remind us of Jesus' call to love and to commemorate his final meal with the disciples. The music will include Zelenka’s Miserere, Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu Nostri, and works by Bach. Come hear Trinity Choir, Trinity Choral Artists, and guest period instrument specialists. This is a part of our "In Durham as It is in Heaven" series.
Donations will be accepted in this service–or in advance online–to help our Trinity Avenue Emergency Assistance (TEAM) fund, which helps assist Durham residents facing eviction and/or the loss of utilities.
