Call to Worship

Come to me, Jesus says.
All who are weary, come to me.

And you, who carry heavy loads, come to me.

For I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Let us draw near to Jesus, whose yoke is easy and whose burden is light.
Let us be nurtured with the Bread of Life and cup of salvation; God's grace upon which we feast.

Prayer of Confession

Holy God, we name to you our brokenness, and confess to you our sin.  You know where our comfort has slid into complicity.  How our perspectives have overextended to indifference. How the weight of living in these pandemic-ridden and tumultuous days has pulled us off our center in you.

Grant us your forgiveness, we pray.  Fortify us anew with your Spirit's power that we would be strengthened in our discipleship and renewed for the journey of a closer walk with others and with you.

Hear us as we offer you the silent confession of our hearts...Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 10:19-25, 32-39

Affirmation of Faith

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
