Meet Katherine Lester our Youth Minister!

Kathryn’s first encounter with Durham, NC, was as a college student at Duke University. After her time at Duke, Kathryn attended Princeton Theological Seminary (Class of 2009). For the past year, she has served as a chaplain resident in the Clinical Pastoral Education Program at Duke Hospital. Kathryn’s parents are both pastors at First Presbyterian Church in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, so church-related vocations are familiar territory to her! Kathryn has two younger sisters, Molly (age 24) and Elizabeth (age 18). Over the course of the past year, Kathryn has taught Sunday School (4th and 5th graders) to some of our neighbors over at First Presbyterian Church in Durham. She also taught Sunday School (ages 5-13) during her senior year of seminary in New Jersey. Kathryn is excited about beginning her job at TAPC, and we are absolutely thrilled to have her! Please join our search committee (Co-Chairs Lisa Drummond and Greg Cates; Cammie Dale, Carolyn Davenport, Susie Gilbert, Haley Rollins, Elizabeth Michael, Donovan Drake, and Jenni Albright) in extending a warm welcome to Kathryn!

Attention Young Adults!

The Firsthand Faith Sunday School class invites you to join us this summer as we discuss Barbara Brown Taylor’s book, "An Altar in the World: A Geography of Faith," in an effort to learn more about (and become better at practicing) various spiritual disciplines. Our class meets on Sunday mornings from 10:00 to 10:45 in the last classroom on the left of the second floor Sunday School hall. Feel free to come as often or as seldom as your schedule allows. Contact for more info: Jenni Albright.
